Privacy Policy 2023

Hello! Before diving into the full privacy policy with details on what information The Happy Sensitive collects, please know that how I collect and process data is quite basic. I don’t use sophisticated marketing mechanisms that follow you around the internet (because, eww!), and I don’t share personal information with other parties, unless this is needed to deliver what you agreed to, and only to that end.

This website has google analytics (as most websites do) to gather general data about how visitors interact with the site, but I have taken measures to anonymize IP addresses, that means that even google analytics itself can’t see exactly where you are and can’t see the “identity” of your computer.

However, any time you do anything online and interact with a website, you share some data. It’s just how the internet works. So in this privacy policy you can read more about what data you share and what is done with it and why, when you visit the site, sign up for a newsletter, buy a digital Kit or set up one or more coaching sessions.

Obviously, in order to purchase a product or work with me, you’ll need to share some personal data but below you can also see details on how your data is processed and your options for having any data deleted.

If you have privacy concerns, please contact us at mail@thehappysensitive.com

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from TheHappySensitive.com (the “Site”).

Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from you in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when you visit our site, place an order, subscribe to the newsletter, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site.

You may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, phone number, skype name and other relevant information you are willing to provide. You may, however, visit our Site anonymously.

We will collect personal identification information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to us. You can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent you from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about you whenever you interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer, search terms used and technical information about your means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

We use Google Analytics with anonymized IP to help us understand how our visitors and customers use the Site–you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Web browser cookies

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance user experience.

“Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. Your web browser places cookies on your hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information (as with google analytics). You may choose to set your web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

As of 2020 we use cookies to make sure that you only see relevant additional information: widgets and sign-up boxes for various Happy Sensitive freebies and paid services. This means that if you e.g. signed up for the Happy Sensitive Starter Kit and free emails we will make sure that using the site going forward, you won’t see content boxes asking you to join that free email series. This is a way to make the website more clutter-free and user-friendly for you. You won’t get reminders about things that are irrelevant to you. We will also use these cookies to at times show you earlybird discounts or special classes or offers that won’t be visible to most other visitors. So if for example you purchased the Winter Blues Kit, then when there are new materials available, you’d see a special notice about that, while other visitors would just see a notice about the class in general.

This is a work in progress and over time, more content will be personally tailored like this. Please note that this tailoring is only for Happy Sensitive content and services (your information is not shared with other parties, so you don’t have to worry about seeing an ad from another company somewhere else about something related to what you signed for up on thehappysensitive.com We will NOT do that.)

We think this makes the site a whole lot better to use, but if you do not wish to see relevant additional information like this, you can click the button to change your preferences:

Please see this page for the detailed Cookie Declaration on specific cookies used on this website + change your preferences.

Please note that opting out of the relevant cookies also means you could miss out on class announcements and special offers. We will usually send info on this via a newsletter too, but depending on the situation, we may choose to mostly or exclusively notify visitors via the website.

We use ConvertBox to show more relevant content on our website. ConvertBox is a third-party provider that processes data on behalf of The Happy Sensitive when you interact with one of the information / registration boxes used on thehappysensitive.com ConvertBox’s privacy policy is available at: https://convertbox.com/privacy-policy/

  • For Digital Products (including: Energy Sensitivity Starter Kit, Happy Sensitive Library and other digital download products)

If you purchase an online digital product, payment and delivery of your product will be handled through Payhip or Zenler. You can review Payhip’s privacy policy here: https://payhip.com/privacy You can review Zenler’s privacy policy here: https://www.newzenler.com/privacy-policy

Certain online courses The Happy Sensitive offers may send you day-to-day course content using Mailerlite or SendFox. SendFox is also the (back-up) newsletter service used in case MailerLite has issues. You can review SendFox’s privacy policy here: https://www.getresponse.com/legal/privacy.html

  • For Contact Forms Sent

When you fill out a website contact form, The Happy Sensitive receives an email notification and copy of the message, which is stored within gmail until you ask us to delete this information. There is also a copy of the message stored at The Happy Sensitive account at CognitoForms.com which is stored there until you ask us to delete this information. CognitoForms participate in the EU-U.S. & Swiss-U.S Privacy Shield Frameworks to meet the privacy adequacy provisions of the GDPR.

  • For Coaching Calls

If you scheduled a call, we keep a record of any information you provided in the booking form, any additional information shared via email, a call recording if you asked for this, as well as handwritten notes of the conversation had. In certain coaching programmes typed notes are also provided. Below you will find more detailed information on how this information is stored and maintained:

Handwritten notes are stored locally (not digitally) in a file in the office and are destroyed after a year.

Emails are stored within gmail and are generally kept until you ask us to delete this information.

Booking form information is stored in the form of an email confirmation, as well as online records with Acuity Scheduling (which is the third party we use to facilitate online booking of appointments with us). You can review Acuity Scheduling’s privacy policy here: https://acuityscheduling.com/privacy.php

If you requested a call recording, a copy of the recording will be emailed to you after the call and a local copy will be kept for maximum 3 months (in the case of Clarity Calls) or until the end of a coaching programme (in the case of a client enrolling in a coaching programme which includes multiple calls over time). This is to give clients time to download the file, and to request another copy if they didn’t download the file before it expired. Call recordings are usually shared via an email link. We currently use the third party Jumpshare for delivering the recording. Please note that the local copy kept of a call recording is often deleted earlier than the maximum retention periods stated above. To enhance privacy, your last name is never recorded in the name of the recording. You can read Jumpshare’s privacy policy here: https://jumpshare.com/privacy

Typed notes – a few coaching programmes include typed notes, which are sent to the client after each call via email or Jumpshare (see above). These notes are saved on a local pc at the Happy Sensitive office until the end of the coaching programme, when they are deleted. In some cases, when a client opts to continue with coaching after the end of the programme, the typed notes will be saved and possibly added to until the client ends all coaching sessions with The Happy Sensitive.

The information described above is maintained in order to deliver the best possible service to clients. For example, if a client books an appointment 6 months after a Clarity Call, The Happy Sensitive can review any records on the previous conversation had to best tailor the appointment from the start, in order to provide the best client experience.

If you wish for any of the above information to be deleted, you may request this by emailing mail@thehappysensitive.com or sending a message through our website, here: thehappysensitive.com/contact/ Please note that for legal purposes, The Happy Sensitive may need to keep a minimal record of your appointment(s) as proof of services delivered for payment, the details of which will be discussed with you upon your request for the deleting of information.
